For a second time, WP4 co-lead Iris Traulsen from AIP has been nominated to participate in the IUPAP International Conference on Women in Physics (ICWIP) as a member of the German country delegation. The 8th edition runs from July 9 to 14, 2023. This three-yearly conference assembles selected physicists from all over the globe to address science topics and good practice in equity, diversity, and inclusion. The programme includes scientific talks by outstanding women, panel discussions, and special sessions on the situation of minorities and female physicists in the participating countries. In dedicated workshops and a plenary, the delegates develop and agree on resolutions to advance equity worldwide, which are forwarded to the IUPAP General Assembly. The virtual 8th ICWIP is hosted by India and attended by almost 500 delegates at diverse career levels from countries in Asia, North America, Latin America, Africa, and Europe.
