{"id":4998,"date":"2023-10-09T12:33:15","date_gmt":"2023-10-09T12:33:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xmm-ssc.irap.omp.eu\/xmm2athena\/?p=4998"},"modified":"2023-10-26T10:39:28","modified_gmt":"2023-10-26T10:39:28","slug":"participation-in-the-science-party-fete-de-la-science-at-irap-conferences-and-scientific-events-for-the-public","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/xmm-ssc.irap.omp.eu\/xmm2athena\/2023\/10\/09\/participation-in-the-science-party-fete-de-la-science-at-irap-conferences-and-scientific-events-for-the-public\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation in the science party (F\u00eate de la Science) at IRAP: conferences and scientific events for the public"},"content":{"rendered":"\n[9 October 2023]\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">On 13 and 14 October, as part of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fetedelascience.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">F\u00eate de la Science<\/a>, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irap.omp.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\">IRAP<\/a> is organising its <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irap.omp.eu\/grand-public\/evenements\/journee-portes-ouvertes-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\">Open Days<\/a>, which will take place in two stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><li>Friday 13 October is being organised in collaboration with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.omp.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Observatoire Midi-Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es<\/a> and will be dedicated to welcoming schoolchildren. After an introduction by the Observatory&rsquo;s management, secondary school students from Castres (81) will work in small groups to discover themes such as earthquakes, the formation of water and molecules in space, exoplanets, virtual reality on Mars and the reconstruction of a real lunar space suit!<\/li><li>On Saturdays, IRAP opens its doors to the general public (minimum age recommended: 6 years). The aim is to help young people discover IRAP&rsquo;s themes and projects, and to inspire them to take up a career in the field.
