{"id":3625,"date":"2022-09-09T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-09T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xmm-ssc.irap.omp.eu\/xmm2athena\/?p=3625"},"modified":"2022-11-11T11:50:39","modified_gmt":"2022-11-11T11:50:39","slug":"european-researchers-night-2022-memes-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/xmm-ssc.irap.omp.eu\/xmm2athena\/2022\/09\/09\/european-researchers-night-2022-memes-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"European Researchers\u2019 Night 2022: Memes contest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Following the successful initiatives of AstroScikus and The Black Hole Week, we are preparing a meme contest framed in the European Researcher&rsquo;s Night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">We propose an international initiative launching a call for memes related to <em>X-ray<\/em> astronomy: instruments, software, observatories, etc. For this event we are teaming up with @AthenaXobs @AthenaXIFU @XMM2Athena @ahead2020 and AthenaWFI.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">A meme is an element of a culture or system of behaviour that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by non-genetic means, especially imitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>Competition Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* <strong>The deadline for submitting memes ends on 28 of September.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* Participants: everyone can submit their meme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* How to participate: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/ZckoTnVVF2g2h2zo8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fill in this form<\/a> with the required data and attach the meme (images larger than 4Mb will not be accepted); if you don\u2019t have a Google account and would like to participate, please contact us by email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* Limits: each participant can send a maximum of 2 memes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* Prize: the prize will consist of a pack of merchandising of the projects and public recognition of the author&rsquo;s ingenuity thanks to the publication of the winners on social networks and web pages of the involved entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* Memes that are offensive or discriminating will not be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">* Selection: the winning meme will be selected attending to its originality, sense of humour and relation to X-ray astronomy.
