However, they discovered a sky full of thousands of exotic stars: rare stars, black holes (this was the proof of their existence!) and pairs of stars, all in extreme states.<\/mark><br><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">To answer these questions, one often needs a large number of observations, and that is the problem: even though the X-ray telescopes sent into space since 2000 have photographed hundreds of thousands of X-ray sources, there is no efficient way to identify them all automatically.<\/mark><br><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">This is why a new approach for the field emerged last year: the collaborative science website \u00ab\u00a0CLAXSON\u00a0\u00bb was launched, to get as many sources classified as possible and potentially discover new types of stars\u2026<\/mark><br><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Come and learn all about this experiment, take the opportunity to participate and maybe advance our knowledge in the High Energy Universe!\u00a0\u00bb<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">You can find more information on the <a href=\"http:\/\/cafe-lastronef.fr\/programmation\/apero-conferences-astrophysique-avec-lassociation-universciel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ASTRONEF<\/a> website.<\/mark><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 12 April, Hugo TRANIN will present his thesis work during a presentation adapted to the general public, followed by an informal discussion, in the Caf\u00e9 L&rsquo;Astronef.
